I am delighted to invite you to the 36th FEM Congress to be held on 6th-7th October 2016 in Bordeaux (France). The event is organised by our French National Committee, CISMA.
FEM Congress will continue with the same format as the last edition and stretch over two days. The first day will be dedicated to Product Groups’ meetings. In the evening, the dinner will be held in the spectacular “Clément Pichon” storehouses of the famous Fayat vineyard. The evening will include wine-tasting.
On 7th October, the General Assembly meeting will follow our traditional CEO breakfast. In the afternoon, the conference will be dedicated to “Logistics 4.0: digitalisation of materials flow” and include high-level speakers from various sectors (telecommunications, logistics, software) and academia to discuss how the Internet of Things is revolutionising logistics. Finally, the Gala Dinner will take place in an unusual location that brings past and present together.
For those interested, an optional golf competition will be organised on 8th October.

The FEM Congress is held every two years. It is an extraordinary opportunity for manufacturers from 14 European countries, and others globally, to meet and review current business issues. These will include European and world market trends, existing and impending technical regulations, compliance issues, European and international standards and a lot more.
Just as important is the chance for informal cultural and business exchanges in a truly international environment, including with delegates from the USA and other countries.
